Section of my first blog post

Laughing with friends, walking in the outdoors, and daily friendliness with strangers in the street. These things I find I don't do enough of, and I'm trapped in a cycle of addictiveness to my phone and social media, watching other people experience the outdoors in a “perfect way”. I would go on walks and hang out with certain friends for the aesthicness of the photos rather than enjoying all the moments in between the aesthetic photo. Ugly laughs, muddy wet weather.

Nothingness is a space before meaning is assigned: Observing without reacting and letting go of identity, narrative, and judgment.

Things I’m going to try:

  • Mindfulness

  • Sitting outdoors alone, finding a quiet reflective place

  • Removing constant input: music, phones and other devices

These things aim to quiet my mind and have a more relaxed state. To learn to enjoy the little moments without it being documented in a video or a photo, or there being an agenda. I want to observe thoughts without engaging in them.
